High Five For Flexible First Packaging, Consumer Trends Conference

,
IMAGETOPRINT’s Printing Technology & Innovation Days for Flexible Packaging took place at the Riverside Hotel in Durban in March 2018.

Its first stop in South Africa provided local gravure and flexo packaging printers, converters and brand owners with insights into the best practices and means of achieving low cost production and greater efficiencies, while meeting the market’s needs for ever-shrinking print runs and shorter delivery and manufacturing times.

During the two day workshop, which took place at Riverside Hotel in Durban from March 14 to 15, industry partners Janoschka, Nordmeccanica, Rossini, Siegwerk and Windmoller & Holscher showcased five production enhancements.

In addition to presentations and think tank discussions, there was a visit to Packaging World’s newly built flexible packaging production site in Pinetown, with production run demonstrations on a Windmoller & Holscher Miraflex S flexographic press and Nordmeccanica Simplex SL 1300 laminating machine.

Stratcom’s Gail Macleod spoke on “Rediscovering the local”.
